| Review | At a guess, I reckon that Mrs Casey are just trying to squeeze a bit more life out of Elizas & Nancy's two albums, but there is some new and fresh material on them. Fen is a new offering from Liza, Martin, Ben and Saul. It's a tune of Martins, arranged by him for this release. There is also a set of tunes, simply called '3/2 Hornpipes', featuring Liza and Martin (which may well feature on Dinner). Nancy and James also have a few tunes of recent origin on there - a new version of 'Dance to your Daddy/The Flaming Drones', 'Reel du Pendu' from Steely Water, and a Solo of Nancy's called 'Port n Brandy', from her Scalene Album. The rest of the songs are the best from EC & NC and Shape of Scrape - a damn good buy for the newbie to either Nancy or Liza's works, who is trying to get a bit of a back catalogue. | |
