| Review | Wow. What an album. I managed to see Blue Murder in summer 2001 at Sidmouth - and this is nearly as good as they were live! Now formed of Waterson:Carthy, Coope, Boyes and Simpson (plus Mike Waterson), this is THE album & collection of artists for the vocal connesouir! Mainly backed by Martin on guitar, the songs are all multi-part harmony - many of the songs feature all the members singing their hearts out, and creating the ultimate 'full' sound. Both the seperate groups of Waterson:Carthy, Coope Boyes & Simpson, and the Watersons all have a proven track record of song arrangement and performance. It's not a hard leap of faith to see that all of them working together is going to produce something really special! | |
